I was always pretty good at school.
After graduating from college, I realized that it was about time to get better LIFE.
When I started to teach 12th-grade English at High Tech High International, I began to wonder:
Why are school and life so different? How can I be the kind of teacher that doesn't just make her students better at school, but invites them to become active participants in the world around them?
Luckily, I work with an amazing group of students and staff at HTHI in San Diego, California that dig into these questions with me every day. More recently, I have joined a fantastic group of teacher leaders in High Tech High's Graduate School of Education. In this portfolio, you will find my ongoing Action Research and my ongoing "ponderings" concerning teaching and integrating life and school.
